I was super bummed after the match. I have become such a big fan of Bayley and have been waiting for her to make a return to the limelight after her title loss.
I also understand that ever since Bayley beat Nia, they have been trying to build Nia up into a big "monster." Her quick matches allowed Nia to look strong and work on her in the ring skills since she is still very new to wrestling in general.
After the loss, I pondered it for awhile... Did Nia have to beat Bayley to "get her over" and pose an actual threat to Asuka for the next NXT Takeover.
Would there have been anyone else to get Nia over in NXT? It seems they are pushing Carmella and Alexa Bliss and a loss to either one of them, would take away the momentum from their push.
I also realize that the loss does not do much for Bayley. She is already over and a total star in NXT.
So kinda a two part question...
1. Did Nia have to beat Bayley to be put over?
2. Do wrestlers in general "HAVE" to be put over at the cost of another wrestler? Or once a wrestler is over does it matter? (I tend to think it does because I am tired of Sammy Zayn loosing ALL THE TIME.)
