So if one was to get into reading comics digitially, what's the best app to use?
I bought the Comic Zeal in order to read review books for THN. I quickly filled up the app with every file I was interested in from the review folders and found it ate up so much of my ipad's memory. The Marvel app I've used to download codes from my trade collections but I've not spent much time witht hat to know if those books are just on the cloud or also need to be downloaded to read. There is the Dark Horse app. Does every company have an app? Is there one place or app to use that removes the need for any other?

I find comixology to be great, that's what the marvel app is based off. I also like the dark horse app but like you say both take up memory, you just have to download whatever you want to read as you go and delete what you've read.
As for reading the files that I get from humble bundles I love chunky. You can download the files directly from the app so you don't have to use a computer or anything, you can do everything directly in the app and it works wonderfully.
And finally it's not really the same thing, but I'm a big fan of the marvel unlimited app. You have to pay a monthly or annual fee but you get access to this huge online library (and it doesn't take up that much space cause all the comics are online, not in your iPad). Think of it like Netflix but just for marvel comics.

I wish DC had an 'Unlimited' app. I would get that in a second, even if it was just to have quick access to stuff. The Marvel Unlimited app has a limited range so I wouldn't be able to read the books I liked from back in the day. Massive gaps like the Kelly/Seagle X-run, the Kesel/Nord DD, Seagle's ALPHA FLIGHT, Rucka BLACK WIDOW mean I am not subscribing.
Check out getcomics.info ive used this sight so many times to download comics and its free. The website is funded by the users and ive loaded my hard drive with digital comics and trades and even full runs!
