I had some of these and picked up pretty much all the rest at a sale today. I hadn't read them closely when I first got them, but after going back through the first 10 issues, I'm really impressed by both the story and the artwork. The story arcs return to the real "horror" comic element that was so great about the early Wrightson Swamp Things and most of the Moore run on v.2.
Anyway, this was kind of a pleasant surprise to me on a Saturday afternoon. What say you, other nerds? Have you read them? If so, what did you think?

Yes. That one. The first 6 or so issues were written by Diggle and then Dysart took over after a two issue arc by a writer (I forget who) and Richard Corben. Lots of Lovecraftian influences on the stories and artwork. It was a quality series. I think it went 28 or 29 issues. I'm still missing 3 or 4 issues so I'm going to have to do some diggin'
