This isn’t a Question-of-the-Week type question, more of a, give-a-noob-some-advice question.
I only this year discovered the magic that is new comic book day Wednesday. In the last 5 months I have amassed a few long boxes of bagged boarded comics.
To all of you non-digital comic nerds out there...
What do you do with your comics after you read them? Of course my favorites I’m keeping, but I have several that I’ll never read again. Some of them I didn’t even enjoy the first time.
Do you donate them somewhere? Do you drop them off at the Goodwill? Do you use them as Christmas wrapping paper (for little tiny gifts)?
i don’t want to be found in 30 years decaying in my apartment under a cave in of old moldy long boxes full of Year of the Villain tie-ins.
In 2000, I moved into an apartment for the first time with my eight long boxes and said "never again". I have stopped bagging and boarding stuff and moved to tpb for the long run when possible. Over the years, I would donate the comics (http://www.operationcomixrelief.org/) and or give them away to other readers I knew. I'm down to a full wall of tpbs and about a long box and a half of floppies. I keep things that I think I should hold on to (ACTION & DETECTIVE #1000). I bag and board them now and sell the sets on eBay... to buy more original art for my collection (addiction).
