I'm ashamed to admit that I fell for the Wanted comic hype. It took them 2 years and 24 covers to release 6 issues, each one more disappointing than the last. That was some serious hype and I was willing to believe it for the first issue. I'm embarrassed that I fell for the hype and I wish I never gave Millar a dime for it. Worst ending ever. Yes, I know there are other bad endings in the comics world. I stand by what I wrote.

Ultimates was disappointing and hyped to hell, too. That whole line was disappointing. Let's add some more- (these weren't just titles with hype, but ones I was roped into buying) Millennium Zero Hour Countdown to Infinite Crisis Infinite Crisis Countdown Final Crisis Blackest Night Brightest Day Flashpoint
Secret Wars II Infinity War Infinity Crusade X-Cutioner's Song (15 issues across 5 titles? Woof) House of M
Both companies were capable of hyping and disappointing, I'm sure- but I lost confidence in them by that point.
Sadly, when I got my long-awaited return of Robotech, the Shadow Chronicles was just awful.
A tougher question for me to answer is when hype DIDN'T let me down! lol
