I'm listening to old, answers of yr week and Carl Smith, (the person who sparked this question) said; Batman is defined by his villains. I agree with this to a point. When Batman's villains go dark, Bruce has to control and contain his angry when the joker tries to kill the entire bat-family.
Especially considering what happens to Jason Todd, because of the Joker. I just didn't like this Joker, story and in relation towards, what makes BATMAN, Batman.
I guess The Joker changed Batman in a way I didn't care for.

I hated a lot of Snyder's Joker for the most part (the Tomasi/Gleason "Death of the Family" arc was better) but it worked out in the end. I thought "End Game" was pretty good and the Bat-Gordon stuff actually worked.
