The movie universe is just a way to let the new/younger fans. To let them see these characters and get them excited. I guess I knew this, but it wasn't until I my kid asked me who doctor strange was in a comic. That's when it clicked. Do you think that's a copout? Do you think it changes the newer fans? Much like the animated cartoons changed the extreme age fans.
I think I keep bringing this topic up, but I never get the response I want, I suppose. Please, share your thoughts. 😿

I visit Tumblr often and I see the Loki and Steve+Bucky love. Which gets annoying because I'll see nothing else about comics. Honestly, which I also don't mind. It's when, like you said, "do they really care about the character"?
Then we have to think, how far should they care? I want them to at least know a few comics or events that centered around that character. These characters aren't celebrities. They're ideas, legacies and changers, of not only the comic world, but also, ours.
I guess you and I have the same problem. It's comics. Do I care too much? Probably, but it's like you said, "l love a character", you have to put in the effort. Not just on the aesthetics. Ugh!!!!! AESTHETICS!
***This is my reasoning. I had this conversation on FTO yesterday and I think it sums up my thoughts.***
