I hear what HouseWayne is saying though, people always complain about the busy armor like costumes and those clearly came from Injustice and how popular it is. So in that regard I'd say yes (for those people that hate those costumes). But on the grand scheme of things I do think it helped.

It did help. It got more fans and more readers. It gave dc more money and notability. It also gave DC a different image. It gave dc a dark side that no one wanted to read. It changed the image and legacy of the dc superheroes. We still hear about how superman tried to kill Hal and Bruce when they first met. That's full-on, Injustice.
Then you have Bruce putting guns on his batmobile in a game. Then few months later they're in a movie. I think injustice introduced people to DC comics but I think it hurt dc comics a lot. Rebirth is dc doing clean up.

It's one of those weird things where this is an ENTIRE audience that I am not part of that eats this stuff up. Those comics are HUGE but I haven't read a page (other than to gawk at the bad artwork). I don't think that weird (ie: different) audience cares about the monthly books just like I don't think monthly reads care about those digital-first comics. There's some sort of unspoken agreement that they are separate.
I didn't play INJUSTICE but I am excited to play INJUSTICE 2 when it comes out.

I'm not a video game dude, so I can't speak to that side of it. It might be fun as hell. But I do think it was another property pushing the dark/gritty/everything sucks/ Superman is a murderer/Batman is a paramilitary asshole/ the sun does not exist in the DC Universe/ Zack Snyder aesthetic. You can see the Warner execs using the popularity and look of this relatively new game to push their movie properties rather than their 70+ years of stories.

I never played #1 because I didn't have a game system that was compatible it, but I recently got an X-box One so I'm going to hop on board. It could suck. Who knows? I'm pretty much exclusively SKYLANDERS these days so I want something for Me.
