Ok, so I've been watching Supergirl this season in preparation for this crossover. And then we like a minute or so of crossover at the end of the episode? And nothing important really happens either, I could've easily skipped watching Supergirl and still have gotten the entire crossover story. So that was a bit of a let down. Over all though, the show has been fine. Most of it simply because of the energy and enthusiasm the actress who plays Supergirl brings to the role. She really is the highlight of the show. Besides that though, there is plenty of DC-lore that finally comes to live here. Now I'm not all that familiar with a lot of DC stuff (raised as a marvel guy), but even I found it fun to see people like Cyborg Superman (who actually stated he was Cyborg Superman) and Mon-El (who I had to google, since the only daxamite I knew was the green lantern dude) show up. And then there is probably a ton more that I totally missed. I think Jimmy Olson is wasted though. He has almost nothing to do and when he does it's underwhelming at best. Same goes for Wynn, who really is just a second rate Cisco. Put those two together and you have this boring Guardian-plot. I'm also not liking the handling of Alex is a lesbian plot. I'd rather had them all just accept it and move on. But I guess they're going for a more realistic approach of such situations. I do like the fact that Supergirl has a big sister though. Oh! I almost totally forgot! But Superman showed up and he was great!
