I love the Legion of Superheroes. My plan this summer was to read the entire Levitz through 5YL Legion (this is one of 3 themed reads I've planned this summer and may not finish). Which got me thinking about my relationship with the Legion of Superheroes. I randomly picked up an issue on a spinner rack and fell in love. I started collecting their adventures and picked up the sourcebooks from Mayfair games for added info. When Giffen started writing it in '89 and changed the paradigm of the series by moving it 5 years in the future, I friggin' hated it and dropped it. I picked it back up a year later, loved it, and continued with it until it ended. This pattern repeated itself through the Archie Legion, the Threeboot, Post Infinite Crisis, and New 52. I love the Legion. I don't buy comics on a weekly basis, I wait for 99 cent sales (the exception is Future Quest). But I guarantee, the next time there is a Legion series I'll buy it right away. I might drop it, but I'll pick it back up later and get all the issues. Because, you know, Long Live the Legion!

I'm a 20+ year reader of the Wildstorm books. I have a little Grifter shrine on my wall (with two different statues, action figures, HeroClix, etc.) I will buy anything they put out that is related. I love the characters and the histories and the artwork (and some of the writing). I was just reflecting back on the James Robinson/Travis Charest WILDC.A.T.S run last night. I might like Warren Ellis' STORMWATCH a tiny bit more than PLANETARY. SLEEPER is the best thing Ed Brubaker & Sean Phillips have done (will ever do).
There is a rumor that the WSU stuff is making a return with news at New York ComicCon. I can't wait!

Conan. Even when it's shitty.
I didn't much care for Van Lente's run. Cullen Bunn's run is off to a lackluster start - granted its only been one issue. But I do not like the art and his start was rather cliché for Conan - if it was some other book I would drop it. But I've got a crush on the loinclothed lug sooooo ....

I'm also starting to love Aquaman, tim king's Batman and justice league. I love that Pre52 superman is back and he's even more mature than before but he also has anger that pours out. For the best reasons tho. His family.
Such a great questions! I think I share some of honobuddy's ability to take out the trash when things get bad, but my Achilles heel recently has been J. Michael Straczynski's Dream Police. The release schedule has been a shiz show, the art is okay most of the time but at others it is the opposite of okay... but I'll be damned if I don't put the book down every month and say, "Wow, that was one hell of a ride!" Comic book junk food, for sure.

The one book that sometimes I'd be like "why am I still reading this?" Was Prophet. But then you hit that one awesome note where things start to click and I'd be like "ah, this is the spot, this is why I'm getting this monthly."
Dude, welcome. Please tell me what you think. It's honestly old fashion cheese comics. With a modern flare.
Exactly what you said it was. The stuff I liked was like a toasty warm blanket on a winter's day.
It's well paced and very easy going. It was filled with nostalgia and fun. It honestly, and it'll sound weird but it gave me hope. Seeing Clark and Lois do what they're doing for their son. Trying to keep that keep secrets and raise a Jonathon. With doomsday just popping up and lex taking on a new role. I honestly love this comic.
