Why hello, Joe and Matt, the two headed nerd! First time forum user here, and the reason I'm here is to answer the question of the week! What excites me the most out of the Image Expo is "The Wicked & The Divine" by Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie. Something about gods being reincarnated into human bodies every ninety years to perform miracles, and such, and in two years they're dead, seems cool to me. I like the creative team on this, and the concept seems decent to me. I'm on! Sidenote: another announcement I'm excited in is ODY C by Matt Fraction. There you go, two headed nerd! My answer to this weeks question. Peace out!

Okay, I was probably going to buy it anyway. But I was officially excited when I heard Snyder had said something to the effect: "...its going to scare the living shiz out you. When you are done reading it you're going to think: they let this guy write Superman?" (paraphrased from someone on twitter). Thats a good sales pitch.

I heard that one pretender to the throne claim to be from the City of Roses, so I decided to step up as the real deal and represent my city. I was at the Expo so I hot to see it unfold live, and there is a lot to be excited about, picking one thing is tough. While Wytches is almost a guaranteed 10/10 I gotta ride the Morrison/Burnham train, as Morrison remains the King of Comics. Williamson deserves honorable mention, as I felt like he did a great pitch for Nailbiter, a serial killer story that would normally fall flat for me.
I will start calling or something when I am no longer sick. Thanks for the cast guys!

I'm super excited for Low by Rick Remender and Greg Tocchini. I know it's yet another underwater/sea sci-fi epic, but with Remender at the writing desk it's sure to be astounding. Black Science has quickly become one of my favorite current books, and I can't wait to see what he does with this story.
As much of a pull as Remender is for this book, the art was what initially drew my attention. Man, oh man, can Tocchini draw, and I think his talent will be a perfect fit for this book. A couple preview images from the book have been floating around, and they look outstanding, perfectly evocative coupled with really interesting colors.
I'm also pretty interested for the 8Houses series from/with Brandon Graham. He can really deliver on the crazy, never-know-what's-coming science fiction.

8House, no question. After the Bleeding Cool article where Graham explained that it is basically going to be a whole new publishing continuity, I was even more on board. Seems like a place where we are going to see the truly innovative comics (like Prophet is to Exxtreme).

I am really having trouble landing on a single title, there is at least 5 that I am equally excited about. Another Remender Sci-Fi book makes a great case, and it looks like Morrison is entering that field as well. You know Gillen and Mckelvie are gonna kill it on that angel/devil book and then you got that Brubaker stuff, Snyder's angle on Witches might be decent... my answer is Image comics has me the most excited.
I'm really excited for two or three titles from Image comics. The first one I'm interested in is called LOW, that aquatic adventure comic that is sci fi. I like the artist to black science and I think that LOW will be similar. Another title I'm interested in is Nameless. it looks really gritty and interesting for a sci fi fantasy title. I hope to hear more about it. Another title I'm excited about is Shutter, I mean who wouldn't be interested in a modern Lara Croft/Indy Jones character. Come on guys! Anyway I think I covered a few, I mean hey there are so many that are coming its hard to choose. Catch ya later Nerd!

C.O.W.L. will be decent replacement for Higgins leaving Nightwing. Seems like he was steering the character in that direction anyway. With them putting Nightwing on a shelf for 7-months, it'll be good to see what Higgins can do without bounds of editorial.
Very excited for whatever Brubaker and Phillips come out with. They didn't announce anything tangible, but they have a great track record already.

I'm also excited for The Fade Out and anything else Brubaker and Phillips decide to do. Am I the only one curious about Bitch Planet? That cover looks awesome and it's called Bitch Planet! I'll give at least 2 issues for that.
